Why Trump Has To Be A Great President

I haven’t heard many people talk about the possibility of President-elect Donald Trump actually being a good president. Most of the people I know who voted for him don’t even think he’ll be a good leader. But what if they’re wrong, just like everyone was about this entire election cycle?

I happen to believe that Trump will be a good president (or at least an okay one). First, please understand that I’m not saying I think Trump will be a good leader simply because I hope he will be. It’s based on my understanding of what Trump wants from life.

Donald Trump is looking to be remembered. It’s not good enough to just be remembered for causing one of the greatest political upsets in American history. That won’t do it. What he needs to do is lead, and lead well. That is his plan if he’s looking to be remembered. No one remembers losers.

President-elect Trump is aiming to have his face carved into Mt. Rushmore. Obviously that won’t happen, but figuratively anyway, that’s what he’s hoping for.

At a speech earlier this year in Tulsa, OK, Trump warned that if he becomes president, the country is going to have too many wins. The people are going to get sick of winning.

“You’re going to say, ‘Please, please, President Trump, we can’t take this much victory. Please stop, we don’t want any more wins.’ And I’m going to say to you, ‘We’re going to win, I don’t care what you say.'”

Obviously the above quote is funny, but I think it goes a long way to help people understand what Trump wants to do as president. He wants to run the country like a business and make a lot of wins.

I believe that if Trump is actively looking for ways to be “the greatest” that he’ll end up being at least a decent president or maybe even a good one. It’s too early to really know how Trump will govern, perhaps he’s not even sure yet. But soon enough we will know if the country made a mistake or not in opting for the experimental treatment option.
