How to save your iPhone’s battery from iOS 7

Recently, Apple released iOS 7 to the public. A lot of users are wondering how to conserve their battery on this new, high energy consuming iOS. There are some things you can do that should help with your battery life. Here’s a list of some simple ways to save your battery:

1. Background App Refresh

Apple added this feature with the iOS 7 upgrade and it is responsible for quite a bit of the battery consumption.

2. Bluetooth

Leaving bluetooth on when you’re not using it will drain your battery fast. If you can, turn it off.

3. Parallax

Parallax is a new feature that makes your icons appear as if they’re moving when you tilt your phone. This feature will slowly chip away at your battery life. To turn Parallax off, go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion and slide it to “on”

4. Brightness

Turn the brightness down. Simple, but it works.

5. Airdrop

Turn Airdrop off.

6. Automatic updates

With iOS 7, you can set your phone to download app updates automatically. Disabling this feature will help your battery out.
