2014 Midterms Breakdown

Republicans took control of the Senate, kept control of the House

Republicans won big tonight with almost sweeping Gubernatorial wins, they also won the Senate, which was expected to happen. In total, Republicans now hold 52 Senate seats while the Democrats just have 45.

Here’s the breakdown of the 2014 Midterm elections. Note: we did not include the names of those who won House seats because there are simply too many.

Arkansas

  •  Tom Cotton (R) won a Senate seat

  • Asa Hutchinson (R) was elected Governor

Texas

  • John Cornyn (R) kept his Senate seat

  • Greg Abott (R) was elected Governor

Pennsylvania

Oklahoma
