Amazon unveiled a new store format where customers scan their phones as they enter, shop, then leave. The store will be called Amazon Go and if everything goes according to plan, the first store will open early next year in Seattle.
As the Wall Street Journal reported, the company says they could open more than 2,000 of the new stores. If all goes well I guess this means we can say goodbye to checkout lines.
