Since the first time I tried Ben & Jerry’s famous ice cream, they’ve been my favorite. Their great tasting Vermont ice cream destroys all of their competitors, at least in my mind. One of the reasons I love Ben & Jerry’s is because they do things differently. Whether it’s their non-GMO ingredients, or their small town business model, Ben & Jerry’s likes to do things differently.
I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the new “Core” ice cream line. I picked the “Hazed and Confused” flavor. Just like every other kind of Ben & Jerry’s, “Hazed and Confused” didn’t disappoint.
On one half of the tub, there’s vanilla ice cream. On the other half, there’s chocolate with chocolate chips. And in the center or the “Core” there’s a hazelnut, Nutella-like substance. Make sure you don’t take too much of the core in one bite as it can over power the ice cream.
In the end, the new Hazed and Confused ice cream was well worth the $5.
