Judge orders Sriracha’s California factory to partially shut down

A judge has ordered Sriracha to stop the operations at their factory in Irwindale, CA that is producing a pungent smell affecting nearby residents. The smell is causing headaches, breathing trouble, and other physical symptoms.

Judge Robert H. O’Brien described the smell as a “public nuisance.” while handling the case. The judge also acknowledged that there is n0 credible evidence to suggest that the Sriracha fumes are actually causing the symptoms.
