According to theguardian, Tor, a popular anonymity protection tool is being targeted for vulnerabilities by the National Security Agency. The Tor Project was primarily funded by the US government to protect the identity of internet users.
These allegations come from the leaked documents of the NSA whistleblower, Edward Snowden.
