Hillsong United has been up to some pretty cool things. A new project of theirs called ‘of Dirt and Grace’ is really something special. The “new” album, of Dirt and Grace, is not really a new album. It’s actually a live rerecording of the group’s Empires album.
What makes this latest project really cool is that all the songs were recorded live in Israel and Lebanon. The Hillsong United team ran around to a bunch of different locations for each track. As they mention on their website, they sailed the Sea of Galilee and visited other significant biblical locations during filming.
“From ‘Captain’ on a boat on the Sea of Galilee, ‘Touch the Sky’ from the lowest point on Earth and cliffs over Galilee…”
And as you can see from the video at the top of this post, the locations definitely make the songs more interesting and powerful. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see the rest of these music videos.
