Another important move has occurred in the industry: Brian Horton, Rise of the Tomb Raider game director, has left Crystal Dynamics, and joined Infinity Ward as art director.
After working on the series, including the 2013 reboot, it was time to move on. Horton explained the situation on Tumblr, saying:
“After working on two amazing games, my family and I have decided to return to Southern California and start a new adventure.”
Of course, the new adventure is the studio change.
Infinity Ward is working on the new Call of Duty, since their last contribution was Call of Duty: Ghosts, in 2013. This puts things into perspective – Horton may be working on the COD franchise.
What do you think about the change? Do you think Brian Horton will provide a fresh perspective on COD?
