The best Kickstarter campaigns of the year

Every year is full of some pretty awesome Kickstarter campaigns below we’ve collected our favorites from 2014. And they’re listed in no particular order.

A belt for a lifetime

Kendal and Hyde  is offering backers a beautiful leather belt that will supposedly last a lifetime.  Better yet, you can get one by pledging just $60. Sixty bucks is a small price to pay for something that will last as long as you.

Instead of using thread, Kendal and Hyde use metal screws to fasten the buckle onto the belt. If they’re wrong about the belt’s life span, you can send it back for a refund. Check out their Kickstarter here.

Bibliotheca – a modern Bible

With nearly 15,000 backers and over $1,440,345 pledged, it’s no secret that Bibliotheca was a successful campaign.

The idea behind Bibliotheca is simple: make reading The Bible more enjoyable. You can pre-order Bibliotheca here.

Waterproof lighter

While simple, this project is still a cool one. The fireSleeve turns your regular bic lighter into a waterproof, buoyant lighter.

You can fund the project here.

Thalia Capo

Unlike a normal capo, the Thalia capo allows you to capo your guitar with your fretting hand.
