You Should Be Excited About Battlefront

I’ve been playing Battlefront since the beginning. So the idea of a modern relaunch of the game is super cool to me. That it’s being done by DICE makes it even sweeter.

From the looks of the game, it’s going to be a real masterpiece. If you aren’t familiar with DICE, try playing Battlefield 4 and you’ll appreciate their game making skills. I can’t imagine a better studio to recreate Battlefront. The people at DICE are crazy talented and will do an excellent job on the game.

DICE has also likely learned their lesson on releasing unfinished games. There was intense backlash caused by early problems with Battlefield 4. This time, DICE will almost certainly polish the game to perfection before it’s launch.

The game has been under development for sometime now. Until now, all we’ve seen is some very limited glimpses into the game. This should change on Friday–April 17–when Electronic Arts is scheduled to reveal Battlefront.

“Join the talented team from DICE as they give fans their first look at Star Wars Battlefront and debut the official reveal trailer for this highly anticipated game. Learn how unprecedented access to the Lucasfilm archives and the award-winning Frostbite technology is helping to create an immersive experience that is truly ‘most impressive.’ DICE will also show fans how Star Wars Battlefront will give them the chance to live out their epic Star Wars battle fantasies.”

Battlefront is set to be released in November. It will be coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Subscribers to EA Access on Xbox One will be able to play Battlefront a week before everyone else. So if you aren’t subscribed to EA Access, you may want to consider it.

Here at Oatboat we hope to give our readers a look at the game before it’s official release. We’ll work to try and get a copy of the game before it’s released later this year.

Correction: an earlier version of this story said that the game would come out in December.
